Throughout the summer there are a whole host of events taking place in Chatel.This year the summer was kicked off with the massive Passportes du soleil, a 75km mountain bike tour of the Portes du Soleil mountains.

Live bands, BMX shows, and even some Karaoke took place in the church square, whilst the Pre la Joux area of Chatel once again hosted the Chatel Mountain Style, and the downhill world cup.

Each year the summer kicks off on the last weekend in June with the PASSPORTES DU SOLEIL a 75km tour around the area using the lifts to do the hard part!  Each village you come across will offer you refreshments and samples of their local produce...
